Shine Internship Program

The Shine Internship Program is a 12-week paid internship program designed for young women ages 16-25 who are ready to gain valuable job experience, develop professional skills, and explore future career opportunities.

Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and career exposure, Shine equips participants with the confidence and practical skills needed to succeed in the workplace and beyond. Interns work within Top Buttons boutiques while receiving training in retail operations, customer service, communication, and professional conduct. These experiences provide a strong foundation for future employment and career success. In addition to workforce training, interns participate in weekly mentorship sessions focused on personal growth, leadership development, goal setting, confidence, and character building. Participants are encouraged to identify their strengths, overcome challenges, and develop the skills necessary to become effective leaders in their communities and workplaces.

A key component of the Shine Internship Program is career exploration. Interns engage in job shadow experiences with local businesses and community partners, providing firsthand exposure to a variety of career paths and industries. These opportunities help participants broaden their understanding of potential career options while building valuable professional connections.
